Stuart Cramp is a highly experienced Formula 1 Engineer living in the heart of Oxfordshire’s motorsport valley. His career has spanned two decades at the cutting edge of motorsport.

Stuart thrives on solving Engineering challenges, inventing solutions, problem solving and developing logistical efficiency. Present your challenge and Trackforward will imagine the performance race solution you require. 

Stuart was most recently the Chief Mechanic at Haas Formula 1 outfit. Alongside Guenther Steiner Stuart built the operation from the ground up. Leveraging their past experience they hit the ground running with a sixth place in the constructors championship in their inaugural season.

Prior to joining Haas Stuart was at the new Lotus Formula 1 Team which gave him his first experience of building a team and its infrastructure from the ground up. This was followed with a stint at the Aguri Formula E team during the fledgling days of the new race series.

At Williams Touring Car Racing with Alan Menu behind the wheel Stuart had his first taste of success. The team convincingly won the 1997 BTCC. Thereafter Stuart followed his Formula 1 ambitions moving to the Williams Formula 1 Team in 1998. Employed as a gearbox specialist he supported drivers of the calibre of Alex Zanardi, Juan Pablo Montoya and Jenson Button.

Stuart founded Trackforward in 2024. The mission is to expand Stuarts consulting services to a full suite of performance race solutions. Leveraging many years of race craft Stuarts goal is to help motorsport enthusiasts and professional race teams alike gain the edge they are seeking.
